How to Get Started

Step 1: Configure general settings

Head over to Settings and complete the information in the following tabs;

  • General - Fill in the company-related details
  • Worksites - Add all company worksites
  • Payroll - Define the payroll period, frequency, and currency
  • Bank Accounts - Add company bank account(s)
  • Signatories - Add signatories for the payroll and pension sheet

Step 2: Configure policies

The Humanlot team will initially help in setting up a meeting to guide your team on how to configure the policies for;

  • Allowance
  • Attendance
  • Leaves
  • Benefits

Step 3: Create shifts

Head over to the duty roaster section to define your working hours and shifts that employees in all departments must attend.

We recommend creating separate groups for each department or employee working for the same shift period.

Step 4: Onboarding Employees

You can choose to onboard the employees through bulk import or manual entry.

Step 5: Set permissions

Head over to the settings module and then the permissions tab to create different levels of permissions for each staff. We have already created some presets for you. Feel free to change these settings as per your operations and regulations.

Step 6: Survey of attendance machine

If your team requires your attendance machine to be integrated into the Humanlot platform, you can access the API keys through the integrations module.

Step 7: Management team training

Our team will arrange a physical or online meeting through the platform and mobile application. In this meeting, we will again go through all modules present and how to accept/reject requests.


Step 8: Run test payroll

Once all the data has been migrated into Humanlot, we will run a test payroll for a previous month to tally and check whether the figures generated by the platform are accurate.


Step 9: Submit clarifications, issues, and follow ups

During this time, our team will provide the technical support required in case any issues arise, or you face difficulties in using the platform or mobile application.


Step 10: Final Implementation

Once your team is confident that you can use Humanlot to run your payroll, we will close the implementation process.
