Setting up Leave Policies

Leave Policies.

Leave policies determine the rules for leaves applicable for employees. They typically outline the guidelines around eligibility, types of leaves available, duration of leave, payout received for the leave, and any other considerations.

Types of Leaves

Humanlot has pre-created the leaves as per the rules and regulations outlined by the Labor Relations Authority of the Maldives. The company will have to edit the Leave Policies according to your company guidelines.

  1. Details :

Determine the Policy Type:

  • Unpaid Leave

  • Work from home

  • Paid Holiday

  • Paid Leave

Name the policy and add a Description (optional).

Carefully reading through the policy, understanding its structure, and considering the policy question, you can determine if deductions and/or additions would be allowed based on this policy.

2. Basis :

Set the basis, such as how many leaves they can take and how to leave days will be earned.

How the leave cycle is determined, how it will be accrued.

3. Settings :

Determine if a waiting period is required, Carry over limit,

4. Additional :

Eligible for work handover, and its details

5. Employees :

Add all the employees who are applicable for this leave policy.

6. Starting Balances :

The admin will be able to view the starting balances.

It is also possible to add custom leave balances.

Once all the steps have been completed.

Review and save the edited leave policy:   

Public Holidays.
From the settings;
Add a Public Holiday and specify which worksite this holiday applies for.
